Requesting Written Translations of IEPs
- When a parent requests that the written IEP be translated, the request is documented on IEP Form 6 (Signatures and Parent Response) and the Administrative Designee for the IEP meeting sends an e-mail message to the Special Education Psychological Services Office.
Requesting Written Translations of Other Documents

Requesting Oral Translations for Meetings
- Parents may request oral translation services for IEP meetings and parent-teacher conferences by contacting their student's Advocate Teacher or School Psychologist.
- GUHSD Special Education Staff can arrange for oral translation services by clicking here.
- Whenever a parent requires oral translation services for an IEP meeting, it is documented by the Administrative Designee on IEP Form 1 (Census and Disability Information).
Requesting Sign Language Interpreters for Meetings
- Parents may request sign language interpreter services for IEP meetings and parent-teacher conferences by contacting their student's Advocate Teacher or School Psychologist.

- Whenever a parent requires sign language interpreter services for an IEP meeting, it is documented by the Administrative Designee on IEP Form 1 (Census and Disability Information).
